Family Night Out; Movie Night at the Church

I love how involved the childrens' ministry at our church is with our kids. They put together a fun movie night for families to come and watch 101 Dalmations on a giant outdoor screen. It was so much fun! The Boy Scouts were there selling hot dogs and hamburgers, and there was even a sno-cone van, so the kids had a blast! (And we did, too!).

Easter 2013

Here are some pics of Easter this year. We didn't do anything big, as I was feeling very sick with this pregnancy, and we were afraid to do too much with Evan's broken collar bone.

I had to post all of these pictures, because I just couldn't get over the different faces that the kids make! If anyone ever doubted that these are Chris' kids, just look at these photos and be reassured! They are goofy just like him!

Evan's Broken Collar Bone

March 26, 2013

When I went to pick the kids up from daycare this day, the first thing that Evan told me was that he'd hurt his shoulder. I kind of played it off, telling hime he'd be alright, and that his body would make it feel better soon. When I tried to move his arm to put his seatbelt on, however, he screamed like I was ripping his arm out! So I took him home and we looked at his shoulder more closely.

Sure enough, he could hardly raise his arm, and he kept complaining of it hurting very badly. I called me Mom, because I was sure that it was a broken collar bone. After going through my brother breaking his collar bone 3 times, I figured my Mom was an expert and would be able to tell us what to do. As I explained what Evan was telling me to her, she agreed that it sounded like a broken collar bone. So I went to CVS and bought an arm sling and Ace bandage, and we bandaged him up really well before bedtime that night so that he couldn't move his arm. I took him to see Dr. O'Neil the next day, and she confirmed (after x-rays) that it was indeed a broken collar bone!

Apparently, a girl named Natalie (a girl that Evan has asked to pray for at bedtime before because "she doesn't listen") was throwing a ball inside and it hit Evan and knocked him down. All it took was him landing on it funny, and voila: broken collar bone.

He sure does look cute, though, right? He was so tough! Chris and I were constantly impressed by how tough he was throughout this whole thing.

The day it happened.

Happy with his suckers after seeing Dr. O'Neil.

Last Day of "School" Pics

Even though the kids weren't really in "school" this year, I wanted to get a picture of them on their last day of daycare. I hardly ever get to see the kids in the morning since I have to be at school before they even have to leave, so I asked Chris to take the picture.

I think they kids were giving Chris a hard time that morning, because he was only able to get them out of the house quickly (he still had to make it to work, too) by telling them that they could stop at the Raceway gas station that was just finished near our house. Apparently the construction of the Raceway has been a cool thing for the kids to watch on the way to daycare each morning... So, that's where the picture was taken. :)

Playing Catch-Up

While I am actually sitting down to blog (I LOVE summer vacation!), I am going to attempt to catch-up on the past year of our lives, at least in pictures.

We've had a lot going on since last summer! I actually can't believe that it's been a year since we put our home on the market and moved in with my Mom for the summer! Now we have actually been in our new home for 7 months, I've just completed my first year back to teaching, Evan has graduated from Pre-K, and we're expecting our third baby!

Here are some pictures to get as much caught up as possible:
